Medical Assisting with EKG & Venipuncture
This program introduces students to the overall operation of a physician's office. Students will learn administrative duties such as handling financial records, correspondence, insurance forms, and other administrative functions. Students will also be trained to perform clinical procedures, use of the EKG machine and Venipuncture.
Upon completion, students receive Certification of Completion in Medical Assisting and EKG Technician. Students may take the National Certification Exam conducted by the National Center for Competency Testing that is held at NCNA.
Length of Program: 9 months
Schedule: MWF (6pm-10pm), TWTh (9am-1pm), Sat-Sun (8:30am-3:30pm)
Externship: Included (Sutter Health, Seton Hospital Clinics, Kaiser Permanente)
